Field Trip Tips:
-
Group Rates only available Tuesday - Friday from 9 am - 2 pm for the Month of October.
-
The group contact (or another group leader) should check over the playground at the end of your visit to make sure that everything is picked up (gunny sacks, bean bags, etc...) and that no personal items are left behind.
-
You are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks. Don't forget plenty of bottled water! (We just ask that you make sure the area is clean prior to leaving).
-
Name tags are so helpful when putting each student's pumpkin in a bag for the bus trip home or (even better) ask each student to bring an old pillow case with their name on it.
Spookley: The Square Pumpkin
We are very excited to announce that Creek Bed Farmacy has been selected to be the exclusive regional site to host the Nationally recognized "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" program with the National Bullying Prevention Campaign.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin, written and created by Joe Troiano, tells the story of a square pumpkin living in a round pumpkin patch on Holiday Hill Farm. Although Spookley initially faces ridicule from his fellow patch-mates, he goes on to save the day during a terrible storm. As a result, all of the pumpkins in the patch learn that it is the thing that makes you different that makes you special.
Creek Bed Farmacy and Spookley the Square Pumpkin invite you to bring your classroom or group to the farm for a day of learning and fun, where kids may:
-
Learn Spookley's story after they walk through the Pumpkin Patch
-
Watch Spookley's movie in the Hay Bale Theater
-
Pick their own special pumpkin from Spookley's Corner
-
Take pictures with the giant , air-inflated Spookley
-
Join Spookley in taking the anti-bullying prevention pledge
Spookley the Square Pumpkin is appropriate for children Pre-School through 3rd Grade
